How to Setup the MAG Box to Work With Any TV

To enjoy SimplyUKTV in the same way as normal TV is very simple. In this article we’re going to show you how to install a MAG box in 3 steps.

Connect the Mag Box to the TV HDMI Port and mains power, switch on the MAG box and select the correct HDMI port on your TV..

Step 1: Enter the System Setup Screen

When you see the main screen press the “Go to Setup” button on the MAG box remote control. (the one with two gears)

Note: You can access system settings from ANY screen simply by pressing the “two gears” button on the remote.

Step 2: Connect to the Internet

If you are going to connect with an ethernet cable, just plug it in and you’re done.

If you are going to use a wireless connection, then, on the system settings screen browse to Network > Wireless (WiFI) > Auto (DHCP) and a list of available WiFi connections will appear.

Select yours and click on it until this screen appears.

Enter your key or passphrase and then click OK to save your changes.

Step 3: Activate your SimplyUKTV subscription and Setup Your Portal

Click on the button below to activate your subscription. You’ll need to enter the MAC address that is on the bottom of the MAG box.

Once we send you the URL, go to the systems settings screen and select Servers > Portals

In the Portal 1 URL field enter URL we sent you preceeded by http://. It should look something like this: http://tv.xxxxx-iptv.com

In the Portal 1 name field enter “simplyuktv”

IMPORTANT: You need to enter the Portal 1 URL BEFORE you enter thePortal 1 name or you will not be able to save your settings

Click OK on the MAG box remote to save your settings, and then press the return/back button until you get to the system settings screen and click on reboot device.

When the MAG box finishes rebooting it will take you straight to your TV guide and you’re ready to watch.
